Let's not just ho hum last night

That was a damn impressive win in my book. We come off heartbreaker without Willis and not sure what Alex can bring. BAMA in must win situation and we punch the time clock and in business like fashion win by 25...very impressive
Business, was taken care of

Proud of the team for taking care if business. No Willis, Alex in his first game back, tough loss on Saturday, and the Cats win easily. Sign of a mature team. Looking forward to tournament time.

Second this, third it fourth......well you get the point. Good call.

and we did it without the insane three point shooting - that pleased me most

Would like to get another win on the road against a decent team other than the one at SC. I think @ Vandy would qualify.

Bama does not stink..we are just playing that well

I didn't say they stink, I said they kinda stink. It's an appropriate description for that team we played last night, and a likely NIT squad.

We win at Nashville and Gainesville then we'll be singing a different tune.

UK has looked like a top 5 team at Rupp this year. But, obviously, you can't play them all at home. OOC, the OSU game was the biggest head- scratcher at a neutral site. In the SEC, UT and Auburn loses are just hard to fathom. How in the hell do we let a 21-point lead slip away to the Volunteers? And, how did we allow a team under .500 outplay and outwork us?

Even though they're unranked, the next two @ Vandy and @ Florida are significant games. It should be an accurate measuring stick of how this team is maturing heading into the post season. Both games will include a hostile crowd and highly motivated teams looking for a signature win against UK for their NCAA resume.

Actually, road games in the Calipari era aren't all that accurate of a measuring stick, especially SEC road games against "teams we should beat". The '10-'11 team lost a ton of heartbreakers in the conference, and ended up making the Final Four. The '13-'14 team had some of the most embarrassing road losses I can ever remember a talented team having, and they made the National Championship Game after going on one of the most unforgettable tournament runs ever. I think teams come prepared to play and intimidate Kentucky harder than they ever have during our road games, because they know if they don't they don't stand a chance. That's the one drawback of success, it always puts a target on your back.

It would certainly be nice to get these next two, but I'm not exactly banking on it and even if we don't I don't view it as an indication of how this team will play in the SEC and NCAA tournaments. I would argue that win or lose, the B.S. road whistle tends to bring Cal's teams closer together and inadvertently helps to make them all the more dangerous in the big dance. It helps teach a bunch of young guys how to fight through adversity, which can prove to be quite invaluable.
