As most of us recall, coach stoops and his staff told everyone that would listen that year 3 was the year that we could judge he and his staff. That was the message to recruits, highschool coaches, and fans. The third year a coaching staff is in place is "typically" the year that you begin to see if it's going to work out or not.
Even with Coach Stoops acknowledging that the program would have his hand prints all over it at year 3, many of the fans are saying its way too early. My question is this, just how many years should we give a staff before making a judgement? In your opinion, when is it kosher to hold this staff accountable for the on the field results?
For me, I'll have my full opinion of this staff's ability to translate recruiting success into on-field success at some point next season (yr 4). However, I need to see this team improve down the stretch THIS year and win 3 more games. We are much more talented and experienced than Vandy, Charlotte, and UL at this point.
