Leach must wait three years for posthumous HOF induction

Did they change the win percentage requirement? Last I saw, he wasn't eligible because he was below 70%

He won't mind waiting, but round the winning percentage to 60 and put him in. The innovations he brought to the game are far more valuable than his winning another game or two.
To me more than that was he was HC of 3 teams for 21 years and went to 19 bowls. The winning % requirement was 60% for career and Leach was at 59.6%. I mean, come on...........

Dumb

And having stat requirements is dumb also.

What if a coach takes over a situation like say marshall god forbid.. they lose every game for 5 years .. then they get 4 wins.. then 5.. then 8.. then the playoffs..

Every situation is different and the pirate should be announced at states next home game.

Utterly ridiculous! Are they afraid the ol pirate my come up out of his grave and embarass them? It's not sainthood. Ps, put Pete in there too to shame MLB.

I like Coach Leach, but the HOF doesn't mean sht. I'm also not a fan of changing time frames simply because of emotion. I hate that he died and am still shocked by it, but I don't think he needs to be put in there immediately because he passed away.

Pete Rose, Sosa, McGwire, Clemens... Shoeless Joe, etc ... put them all in. I'm tired of the hand-wringing over it. The league LOVED making money off of these guys while they were playing, and used the scandals to the league's benefit. They ARE PART OF THE GAME'S HISTORY even if they don't want to admit it.

The WORLD knows players and officials gamble on sports, just like they know Wooden knew his players were being paid. It's all bullsht that they act like the sports are pristine. Does anyone think Babe Ruth didn't gamble?

HOFs are pageants when they should be museums. Put the ugly in there with the lipsticked pigs and beauty queens. We aren't naive enough to think they're all choir boys
