Latest bracketology.

I'd rather be the 2 in the South (Louisville) than the 1 in the East (Philly).

I like our chances against anyone playing in Kentucky in March.

Will that be allowed? I have my doubts. Geography won't matter when it comes to UK as a 2 seed. Just wait and see.

We're not going to be a #1 seed.
It is possible we end as a 2 seed but I think we get the 1. We aren't losing many games . 4 more tops and I think it will be closer to 2 more. Just too much talent and great coaching and not many good teams much less great. Think we lose at Texas A&M and at KU and maybe at Vandy . That is it . We will push UL's crap in like they are a new fish in prison.

I wish you're right, but I just dont see it. Lots of these away games we could lose easily. At USC, at UGA, at Florida, at A&M, etc. and we'll lose to Kansas. I think we had 8 losses when we had Liggins, Lamb, Miller, Jorts and company....and that team could run circles around this one. Every questionable year we always say "No, we'll definitely win those games"...then we lose. I'm thinking 6 losses.

I see it happening. Not being a homer but Skal does not need to be AD for these Cats to win. They need beef in the middle or at least someone who thinks they have beef. I think Cal will get it figured out but it may be a little later in the season than some are used to or expect. Once this team gets up to speed they will surprise. You see glimpses of this team and what they can do but it's not all together yet. I'm excited about what this team can do. I am also excited about watching this team grow from game to game....Oh and please realize..other teams are not as good either. It is not like other teams have a monopoly on one and done players. Can this team be beat on any given night...probably BUT, they can also win on any given night against ANY team. I think Cal can use that scenario better than anyone at this point in time. Be Good

Doubt if Syracuse is there either when it's all said and done.

Weird team. They performed well in Battle 4 Atlantis but have lost 3 of 4 since, including to a bad looking Wisconsin team at home and what will likely be a very bad St. John's team

Its Perspective. We need to lose a max of 3-4 games to be a 1 seed. Unless Skal turns into Anthony Davis, that aint happening. We're going to be good, but I can't see a 1 seed happening.
Not true at all. I don't think any 1 seeds will have less than 4 this year and all may have 5-6 or even 7 losses. Kansas isn't going to roll through the Big 12 with less than 4 losses, so that would put them at 5, and they still have to play us. Maybe we just shouldn't even show up in Lawrence since you're handing that game to KU already.

as you said, you have to be a 3-4 loss team usually to be a 1 seed. I can't see this team losing just 3-4 before the NCAAT. It's possible, but I wouldn't bet on it at this point.
Again, teams with 5-7 losses get one seeds often. And this is probably one of those years where there may not be any teams with less than 5.

I know that's almost week old at this point but I "love" how no matter what, linardi always puts teams in brackets that creates drama, storylines, or rematches.

Msu has Louisville in theirs
Kentucky has notre dame, Wisconsin, wvu, Cincinnati, ucla and unc all in that bracket. Remember how many times he had Wisconsin as the 2 in UK bracket last year.

Maybe he knows something we don't but it's laughable how obvious some of the matchups are.

a team with 5 or more losses has only received a 1 seed 19 times since 2000. That's 19/64. That means is happens 29.6% of the time. Basically that's the equivalent of saying roughly only one 1 seed per year has more than 4 losses. The other 70% of the time it's 4 or less. I wouldn't call that "often", but to each his own.
That is pretty often. And it's just dependent on the year. How many teams do you see with less than 4 losses this year? I just looked at KU's schedule and I think they lose 6 and that is with them beating us. We're still going to be in okay shape headed into January most likely at 11-1. I do think we probably lose at Kansas unless our shooting improves greatly and Skal starts producing. But even then I still think we are 26-5 when all is said and done and that will probably get us a 1 seed this year.

The Duke and ASU wins look good. The UCLA loss is not looking so bad now, if we can beat teams we should and only lose 3-5 more games we will have a #1 seed. The ACC and Big 12 will beat up on each other all year long. We lose only 4 we are a lock for a number #1 seed, we lose 4 but lose the SEC title game we have a 75% at being a #1.

At Vandy KU LSU and Bama A@M and home games ul, UF, Vandy will tell the story.

I don't know about at Bama. I guess any road game will be a challenge unless we improve a ton, but there are some games I definitely put ahead of Bama. At South Carolina for sure. They are looking like a legit NCAAT team for once.

He really doesn't place them anywhere. He's just following the bracketing rules. You just go team by team placing teams in the closest region assuming it doesn't break one of the bracketing rules.

IOW......there's a reason why UK has seen WVU in their bracket what 3 times outta the last 6 seasons.

He's not really placing them anywhere intentionally lol
