Larry Wells?

What happened with him? I read where the staff said he was their top priority on the OL this year and then out of nowhere he decommits. Some said grades but that doesn't appear to be the case since he just committed to Purdue. We are hurting at OT and could've used him. Anybody know the story?

I don't really know, but for a kid that big to only have two or three respectable offers is kind of a head-scratcher. We also have 3 possible OTs already committed that are higher ranked than him (Wolfe, Stenberg, & Livingston). Could also mean that Rob Dowdy is someone that the staff thinks they will really get and they told Wells that if he commits that his offer will be pulled.

Lots of shuffling this time of year. Hopefully we come out on the good side of them.

I read where Dowdy was recently interviewed and he said he had not heard from UK coaches so I don't think that's it.

Out of the 4 guys you named, Livingston is the only likely tackle of the group.

The staff moved on from Wells. To find out why you'd prolly have to ask them.

I don't think Swindle has the feet to move over to the left side. Meadows is a good player, but he has been playing on the right side behind Swindle. Won't know if Krok is ready until April, but we need him. Livingston is a project who needs to redshirt. Recruiting is going well at almost every other position, but we missed on several tackles and it looks like we may miss on Ulizio too. Definitely need more tackles.

Possibly Asafo? He is a highly ranked tackle, and he's definitely no small boy. Not to mention, he enrolled early, so he's got quite a few months to put on some extra muscle, and get a little extra experience.

G A-A is an OG all the way. Swindle gets the LT job by default. Maybe Krok is the future but for right now UK has ample PT there but apparently no recruits want it. Frustrating.
