Has been named the starting QB for their opening game. I'm not sure what that means for UGA, but he wasn't spectacular at UVA. He wasn't very accurate and I was actually surprised Georgia took him in. The fact that he won the competition doesn't really speak highly of their younger talent IMO. That said, UGA may feel confident enough in their running abilities (they are going to have the best stable of RBs in the division and maybe the conference) that they just want an experienced game manager instead of a great talent at the position. Either way, assuming he is their QB for the season that is going to make them heavily reliant on their running game.

I was shocked to see that. He was horrible at UVA; then again, that Ramsey guy he beat out displayed no accuracy against Louisville in the bowl game.

If UK can establish a run defense then that might improve the chances of winning that game. I have my doubts about that this season, but I'm with you, I'm a little surprised.

Yes if we can manage to contain the run then we will have a shot at them but that's no small feat as they have a very good line.

I can't say I am surprised. After spring practice they started looking for a qb who could be immediately eligible to play, so that told me they weren't thrilled with the guys we had on campus. He wasn't great at Virginia for sure, but he didn't have much of a running game nor a very good OL, he will have both of those this year. If he can hit a receiver in stride running a slant and make smooth handoffs he will be an upgrade from last year. But its who I was expecting.

But on a positive note, UGA finalized their indoor practice facility and will start construction at end of season, last team in SEC to have one.

Lambert played really well when UVa beat UL last year. For that I thank him

The only thing I know about him is that he wore TWO FOOTJOY GOLF GLOVES in a game last year and for that reason I don't like the guy.
