The 3 players they lost this year? Were they significant? They seem to be doing ok without them.
I didn't know that the lady's were going to the quarter system instead of halves. What exactly is the point of having 4 10 min quarters instead of 2 20 min halves?

Personally, I don't like quarters. Naismith invented the game with halves, not quarters.Because college is the only level of basketball that doesn't use four quarters. They thought it stupid (it is) and instead of taking decades to change the rules when they decide they need changing, like with men's basketball and football, they just went ahead and did it because it makes sense.

The Oregon transfer was dismissed. The other three left for personal reasons which happens in women's sports more then the men's programs.Yes, they were outstanding players but felt they were recruited over, it seems. Epps is playing her best game of season and has 15 at the half with some steals and boards to go along with it. At the game and the Cats look pretty tough.

Ive always hated the change to 2 halves in college. I would much rather have 4 quarters.
For a team is supposed turmoil with all the transfers ( or so you would think if you listened to the radio or read the papers or message boards) the girls are playing awfully well. Undefeated and a top 10 ranking.
Curious that anyone is moved to any kind of emotion over the issue. Other than resetting team fouls, I don't see any difference. Same amount of time. IMO, it's just another way they are trying to make the college game like the pros. I'm not bothered by it, but I do not want the college game to be too much like the NBA.
Are you just not impressed with the UK women or the women's game in general? You have to take it for what it is. They aren't high flying dunkers, the game is more finesse, shooting, passing, and driving. I like watching the UK women play, mainly because I know what to expect.I guess maybe I need to watch a UConn game, because whenever I watch a UK game, I am just never that impressed.
True, but I could just as easily rattle off traditional things that have not changed, and for the better. It just boils down to personal taste. I don't prefer quarters.Karl Benz didn't invent the car with a supercharger. But the longer you have something, the more you can refine it and turn it into something better.
Men's college basketball is now the only level in the world that doesn't use quarters.
Mitchell doesn't seem to be the type of coach that makes excuses for his team.

Lol, yep, but I wasn't talking about technology. For instance, i say Merry Christmas. I prefer listening to Cawood call a game. I don't like many of the new NFL rules that are ruining the game. Like I said, just a personal taste thing.we'll have to agree to disagree. outside of ancient superstitions about egotistical space scientists with self-esteem issues, i can't think of anything that wasn't bettered over the years. and this rabbit hole is already deeper than message board nonsense should be.
