Skal is certainly starting, so unless poy can't go early in the year, Lee will be our sixth man.
UK has won 4 titles in the past 55 years. I'm not sure what your point is...unless you are saying it is hard to win a title. That is very true. Coach Cal is the 2nd best coach in UK history...but definitely needs that 2nd title, which I think he wins soon enough.
Four of his six teams made it further than the elite eight.
Best thing is the shooting. We now have a deep threat from the wing.

That puts Poy at the 3 and the offense is nowhere near as effective as it should be with him at the 3.
Yeah I am more confident with that game now. I think it is more 50/50 with UK being favored on a neutral floor if they play in March when it counts the most. Other than that game Duke, and at Vanderbilt worry me plus at A&M if we have to return to college station this year.
That teams talented enough to win it all next year. At Kansas and vs. Duke will be the litmus test, but this team just went from good to great!

Second five - Hawkins, Mulder, Matthews, Willis, Lee
There aren't too many teams out there that can boast more talent than UK has coming in next season.

The players seem to be there. Lets hope the chemistry is there. The major problem that will arise is if there is an injury or foul trouble with the inside players.. IMO they need one more inside player and not even that if Willis can give some minutes inside.
Another thing that might be a problem is whether one ball is enough for all of those point guard types. I have no doubt that Briscoe and Murray can play off guard and SF but they do IMO have that lead guard mentality and all like the ball in their hands.
On the positive side with the shorter shot clock and likely speeding up of the game and the new rule on getting the ball across the mid court strip having 3 great ball handlers will be a big plus.
There is also going to be 3 very good reserve guards in Mathews, Muldur and Willis and who knows they may have some say in who starts. UK can definitely go bigger if Ulis is getting man handled by a bigger PG like happened at times last year. Lee is going to be an extremely important reserve. Lets hope he continues to improve on offense and at the foul line.
