I hardly attended any games last two years, but after Friday, I have two random thoughts about KPP:

(A) If we can put a good team on the field + (B) UKAA gets in the 21st Century and sells beer, this will be a GREAT venue for college baseball. Has terrific parking situation for tailgating for big games, infinitely better than Cliff Hagan, much larger and more comfortable seating, skyboxes, state of the art video board, the whole nine yards to make this one of the better on campus baseball facilities around. Plus its location on Alumni Drive is much higher visibility which should draw some casual fans. I can see average attendance being in the 3000-4000 range especially for UL and SEC games as the weather warms up.

I understand beer sales not happening during a pandemic, but hope UKAA revisits the issue for 2022.

I have a question. Why did they announce immediately after the conclusion of the game on Sunday that the stadium would be closing in 10 minutes? I’ve never heard them do that before.

I was ready to go but didn’t want to make a run for it!

We asked the same thing and were told it’s because the players’ families and fans wanting autographs, etc were staying too long in the park.

I have noticed there is no good place for kids to get pictures and autographs, especially if the head coach talks to the players after the game. It takes a while for him to release them.

It was cold on Friday, I did not need an invitation to skedaddle!
