I was saddened by all the de commits we have had in the last few days. But, now it is an exciting time for Us UK fans as we will recover and Stoops & Staff will finish well i believe. Not knowing who will fill out the class is exciting to me. Kind of like CHRISTmas for me not knowing who will fill up the class. to me, this has made it fun waiting for FEB. 4th to get here.

It is exciting but when I start seeing their replacements as having offers from only Buffalo and Monmouth, count me as concerned. We obviously didn't tell those guys to look around because the replacements aren't as good.

You do know that your back up recruits were not considered by the staff to be as good as the players they originally took commits from. IMO when you are in the situation that UK is presently in you take risky recruits. It is true that some might turn out OK but the odds are that most will not.

I agree to a point with your post. I see UK flipping a couple from better schools. A couple more we have been on, have now opened up. I think Stoops & staff will do well in the end.

2 Guy's I have not heard about for some time now. Rush,Whitlow. Are we still in with them or has that ship sailed??

It is true that UK might get a few that that the big boys strung along and in the end didn't have room for but we have had several of those in the past and if my memory is correct very few of them ever contributed after signing with UK. Most times they are not flips from one of the better schools but players they either didn't have room for or in the end decided that they didn't want. I do not think you can make a living off cast offs from as you say the better teams. I would however be thrilled if we could get an Alabama cast off that had a better career than he whose name I will not mention from Berea.

Here is a different look and what goes on in the SEC. South Carolina: Granted, we had more de-commits than we'd like, but we appear to have kept some key commits in the fold. Plus, following the de-commits, we were able to pick up some good-looking recruits that should help out. In other words, the staff did a good job of minimizing the impact of the de-commits, at least at face value. Looking forward to Signing Day. Go Cocks

South Carolina had 3 early enrollees one being a 4*. If nothing changes they will add 10 more 4* recruits signing day.

We have two new commits since yesterday and I look for more by Monday, keep the faith. GBB

I trust Stoops and his staff and I have high expectations for the future. It's only fair to give him enough time to fix a program that was badly broken. But I totally agree with seccats04 comment about offering kids with Buffalo and Monmouth talent. Can't wait to see how things turn out but they're recruiting kids that they would have never recruited in the past. That's a bad thing no matter how you spin it.

Allen is replacing a 3* who flipped to NO Carolina St. Allen is also a 3* who led new Jersey in sacks last year.

Haven't heard Whitlow's name mentioned in awhile but maybe that's the DE made reference to yesterday. Seems I heard Rush has off the field issues that are a concern.

UK does need another DE and DT in this class. Maybe the JUCO Miggins is the answer.

We have ZERO two star commits so far, so if we dip into the two star ranks for a player our staff likes I will trust their judgment, hopefully they won't panic like some of our fans and sign someone just to fill a space, 16 will be a very good year. If they turn out like most of the other two stars we have had committed, like the two star OL that jumped to a four star, or Dubose (several others) that was a two star but a 5.6 when signed, then getting them committed too late for the powers to get involved with will be a good strategy, LOL.

Let's just see how it all plays out before we panic, all the negativity on here doesn't help a thing.

I'm afraid being thrilled isn't in your near future if you're waiting on Harris.

So you don't think it's possible to have a scenario where the coaches look at several recruits at one position and see them all as basically the same level of talent and offer them all scholarships, thinking they'll take the one that commits first?

And, just how many "risky" recruits do you think they are taking? I'd be curious to see you label our current commitments based on this "risky" standard...

He is not talking about DH flipping to us. He is talking about any of the other Bama running back recruits that may be forced out coming here and having a better career than DH has at Bama. I only wish the best for DH but if this did indeed happen it would drive home the point that going to the top 5 program isn't guaranteed success vs staying home and playing in front of your family and friends.
