I'm pretty sure this team needs no motivation against Kansas. Against Auburn on the other hand..................
Ok State was twice as bad as Auburn if you believe in things like the RPI. Auburn was #72 when UK lost there. Ok State was #153 when KU lost there. Add to that, the Choke Hawks got blasted by #153. At least we were competitive with #72OK St are not world beaters either pal.
Wow. I thought by the sound of it Auburn was somewhere around 150+ in the RPI. From what I just saw, the LSU loss is actually a worse loss than auburn. Go figure.
You seem to be getting prep and motivation mixed. Not sure exactly how "we're both 16-4 and they are higher ranked!" is some fire-up-the-troops motivation. The motivation is that its a big-time game against a big name program, with a national audience watching and a chance to show your abilities. I think if Kansas were 18-2 or 14-6 the motivation would be the same.
Besides, these kids aren't dummies. They know that not all 16-4 records are created equal. Losses to Auburn, Ohio State, UCLA and LSU are not the same as losses to Michigan State, Iowa State, WVU and Oklahoma State. I think it's more true that Kentucky has the same number of truly quality wins -- 2-- as Kansas. But I doubt that records are what will determine how well the Cats are prepared.
Despite what Dukie V says I think Duke is in deep trouble of missing the Dance.KU,Mich St and don't forget our buddies over at Duke,if the Cats had a similar record over the past 10 days as these 3 you would need a flashlight to find us in the polls. It is comical that is all you can say about it.

So we'll move up to #18 and KU will fall to #8, while Duke clings to #25 with 6 losses!Hopefully, they will be 16-5 after saturday and we will be 17-4
You have a point, but I'm not sure that Duke can lose enough games to keep them out of the NCAAT.Six more losses won't do itDespite what Dukie V says I think Duke is in deep trouble of missing the Dance.
Look at their remaining schedule and realize they already have 6 losses and are a weak 4-4 in the ACC.
I think we all know, though, that the RPI is a horrible ranking system for relative strength of teams. KenPom and Sagarin both have Oklahoma State (67, 72) and LSU (60, 60) much higher than Auburn (159, 124).
