Does anyone know if we have recruited him at all since November? Are we just listed as a finalist for name value?
My impression is that he would like to come here, if we offered him. I don't think we'll have room for him.

I would think Simmons and Bolden have contingent offers that they could take at any time, but...
SENIORS - Willis, Hawkins
JUNIORS - Mulder
SOPHOMORES - Wynyard, Humphries, Matthews
That's the bare, bare minimum of returning scholarships. Poythress graduates, Skal, Murray, Briscoe, Ulis and Lee could all declare for the draft. Floreal could go back to walk-on status.
This would mean, barring a transfer, there would be at-most, 2 scholarships available.
On the front page it says Simmons will be deciding soon, I doubt that bolds well for him to pick UK. I'd like to get him and Bolden, though I suppose it's a win- win, if they don't don't come it probably means some key players back.
I wonder what happened to Arizona. He added them to his list and took a visit, then I didn't hear anything else.
During his call in show on Monday night Cal was asked about recruiting for next year and he stated that we are only after one more big man and we will be done with recruiting for next year. And that we had one guy in particular he really liked (Bolden reading between the lines.) It is being reported that we are still calling Jarrett Allen in case Bolden turns us down but I think the Simmons ship sailed because it appears that either Ullis or Briscoe might return. I believe there was time the staff thought it likely we would lose Ullis, Murray, and Briscoe and we could use another guard but unless Brisoce starts hitting jump shots consistently he isn't going to go 1st round and should return.
I would not be surprised to see Hawkins elect to be a graduate transfer if he were to graduate this Spring or Summer. I could see him getting meaningful minutes at another school. Willis could possibly elect to be a graduate transfer as well if he were to qualify and he feels his minutes would decrease next year. Not saying they will if they were to qualify but just speculating.I would think Simmons and Bolden have contingent offers that they could take at any time, but...

Why would you wave off old girlfriends ?What a tremendous luxury.....to be able to simply wave off 5 star recruits like old girlfriends....![]()
with what we have coming in I do not see Coach Cal sitting 5 stars based on past history.I'd say Hawkins plays next year. He'll be a senior and he has some real game from what I've seen. If he keeps making shots, there's no real reason to sit the young man.

Yea there is and their is actually 2 reasons why and his name is deaaron fox and the other reason name is malik monkI'd say Hawkins plays next year. He'll be a senior and he has some real game from what I've seen. If he keeps making shots, there's no real reason to sit the young man.
I don't know they might look better than mine. I'm 70 so if they are young....You would have to know some of my old girlfriends to understand.....![]()
I believe he's in the 2017 class if I'm not mistaken.Cold that big guy be Deandre Ayton?
You're not. People were incessantly speculating that he could reclassify to '16. But he never actually said anything of the kind. As good as the 16 class is, I'd rather he just stay in 17 and boost that class for usI believe he's in the 2017 class if I'm not mistaken.

If we're going to add another guard it needs to be a 5th year transfer .[/QUOTE]

I can't argue that point, I agree with your take.My speculation on role players and bench guys from KY is that they stay and take advantage of their UK days and parlay that into a professional career here in the state.
Transferring away definitely dulls the luster.
