Knox commits to UK

Awesome! He's a competitor. We have really set up a OTE pipeline and that has and will continue to pay huge dividends.

I always thought it was funny reading a KU board years ago and this poster would talk about a GBR( get bucket rating). Knox gets buckets. Whether it was AAU or OTE he just would always find ways to end games with impressive point totals(rarely like 30 but almost always 20 from my memory).

The biggest thing this does is show that every perimeter player is expected off the roster. Gonna need a lot of new bodies.

Reminds me a bit of sophomore PJ. More perimeter focused and not the great post up player obviously at 6’6. Our other legacy players are unsurprisingly smart basketball players and that helps overcome their youth a bit imo. I expect Knox to be similar.

I will say I would not be shocked to see his teammate Cyril end up elsewhere depending on Ugo and AB. Neither is draftable so only question would be a transfer which we’ve already went through before with Ugo.

There's still that horrific option of a guy actually waiting a year in the program before he shines.

I know...gasp!

Great addition.

Still hoping for the miracle of a Sheppard return. All the pieces are there except for the point guard spot. Put Sheppard and Fland in that backcourt with Knox/Quaintance/Onyenso and I like next year's team.
If Sheppard returnd for sure, still think they need a reeves like scorer

I didn’t until last week. But with Knox on board go get 2 shooter/scorers like reeves from the portal and let’s roll
That’ll be fascinating. There’s a clear opening for an elite guard. Will it be Jasper, Peterson, or a transfer. Still need a transfer for experience but there appears to be 1 primetime slot to sell to a prospective player(assuming everyone leaves).

be a damn good 4 man
Seriously though, you made me think about Josiah-Jordan James at TN. Came out of high school as a 5-star 6'6" 210 lbs. "purported" 2G. Not effective as a 2G his first couple of years. Added 15 lbs. and became an impactful player as a college PF.

I know he isn’t popular here, and he shouldn’t be treated as gospel, I’m just repeating what was said. But Trilly said Kentucky will have interest in the st joes guard if he enters the portal

Will Need shooters. I worry about the mentality and the fit but he is definitely talented. If he can fit in next year and play team ball it will go well.

That ought to shove Hart out. That is why we never have experience. Cal keeps bringing in these freshmen who aren’t studs and the guys on the bench see the hand writing on the wall. So sick of one and done.

Who was that UL sports bitch that said that Knox was holding for a guarantee that Payne would not be fired. Could have been true. Nothing is going to save Payne at UL

I feel for Joey because he wil be recruited over. Cal likely has little interest in developing anyone unless they are on the NBA fast track.
