WCS is 100 mil dollar player. Some team will win and win big by picking up WCS and letting him do what he can do.

I don't think his (OP of knick's forum) analysis of WCS is correct.

Great defender, but he is a poor rebounder.

Also his offense isn't as atrocious as they made him out to be. He showed huge progress this year, and that's a good sign moving forward. (for example free throw percentage in his time at UK: 37.2%, 48.2%, and 61.7%)

For me, his biggest area of improvement is rebounding. His three years at UK he rebounded 6.2, 6.1, 6.4 and his minutes actually was most his Junior year. He is physical and athletically gifted enough to have rebounded much more than that.

For example Cousins (i know this is extreme case) 9.8 RPG with 23.5 mpg. Which is actually less time played per game than WCS.

Had WCS shown he could rebound around 8 ~ 8.5 per game with same amount of time, i would have been much more comfortable selecting him at #4.

He isn't as aggressive rebounding the ball as he could be, but part of that comes with being hung out on the perimeter on switches.

I wouldn't take him over any of the top 3, but 4 is reasonable. Especially for the Knicks who probably think they can sign their star guys.

I really don't see him going that high because his offense is not that great. He could become a great defensive player if he puts work into it. Wish the best for him.

Man I love Willie and he has potential but I wouldn't touch him until 6 or 7 at least. Mudiay or Russell at 4 is a no brained IMO

Knicks are so bad literally any position they pick will improve the team by leaps and bounds. Russell or Mudiay will probably help more right away because it will take some offensive pressure off Carmelo, but that would be shortsighted thinking and I think Phil Jackson would be smarter than that.

I'd absolutely take Lyles ahead of him.

He's just too limited offensively and too inconsistent with his effort.

Lyles was pretty good at hitting mid-range jumpers. I'm not sure if you watched all season or just based your stupid post on the last couple of games.

Lyles shot 39.2% this year on 2 point jumpers.

Devin Booker was 39.1%.

no, I just don't get the fascination with Lyles, especially as a lottery pick

I don't see how taking Russell or Mudiay would be short-sited. Those two figure to be NBA starters for a long time.

Sure, and most of them always will be. A stretch 4 will be given that midrange shot all day.

With normal development, Lyles is a 10 year starter in the league, imo. If he were super athletic, he would be a top 3 pick.

Type any word(s) in your reply box, for example "Link" (sans quotations), highlight it, then while it's highlighted click on the link icon and paste the url. When you click insert, it should change the url to whatever word(s) that you have highlighted.
