Figured I'd start an all new thread.

UK gets out of a big time jam in the top of the second. Great job by Brad!

Whew, could have been worse. USCe left runners on second and third. Becker makes a nice grab to keep two more from scoring.

Great start to the bottom half. Heady singles up middle and then Tristan singles into left but got to second b/c of aggressive baselining. 2nd and 3rd and no outs.

I do not understand coaching decisions last three games...in a MUST win game you start your 5-6th pitcher and then have the guy he replaced in relief for him????

Want to win but i dont think it's a MUST win. Just trying to steal innings. Gotta have someone step up along the way.

Crazy. Our left handed batters have the outside corner called against them every time.

These righties for USC are getting the ball call more times than not.

Holy crap... I have basically missed most of this game. Had a really long meeting with a client and I turn it on and it is 6-2. So now I am like this: [banana]

I see that Logue is pitching and I am like this: :eyes: :okay:

Hmm... Machamer now coming in to pitch. Interesting. UK trying to make sure that we keep our bullpen pretty fresh I suppose.

Marshall going to third.

That game couldn't have gone much better for us. We used a starter who has struggled and the starter did an excellent job, which gives me some hope that he can be a good bullpen guy. We used a seldom used starter and he pitched 3 innings of pretty decent work. We then used Mach for a couple innings and he was pretty conservative with the number of pitches he threw. So, we still have a good number of our bullpen left to pitch tomorrow and beyond, plus we still have 3 top shelf starters available. On top of that, we could hypothetically bring back possibly all three of today's pitchers to pitch in a game on Saturday or Sunday if necessary.

AWESOME...great start. Pitching decision really paid off - have to be fair and acknowledge it when it works since many of us will criticize it when it doesn't!

Yes sir, agree 100%, won easily our first game going with our 2nd tier pitchers, now have to assume Hjelle starts on Friday.

SEC tourney is all gravy to me right now (although we could possibly grab the no. 7 or no. 8 national seed), just go ahead and announce the regional and let me buy tickets!!!

Didn't get to follow the game closely today at work, but I saw on Twitter that the bullpen gave us 6 shutout innings. That'll do.

Not only that, but they gave up just 3 hits in 6 innings of work, including 4 strikeouts for Logue.

Hjelle wouldn't start tomorrow? Would be a huge game to win.

SEC now gotta love our coach! What a great interview he is special. E White is a great interview as well very proud of our team.

Hjelle will surely start tomorrow vs either LSU or Mizzou. Then depending on how we do, the rotation should be Thompson, then Lewis.

Seriously, what do we have to do to get above TCU in the RPI? We just pick up another top 50 win and we go to 39-18 with the 8th best schedule in the entire country. They are 39-14 with the 48th best schedule and they are still higher than we are?! I guess their record against the top 25 opponents is what is keeping them above us, but I feel like we have to be extremely close to them considering that our SOS is WAY better than theirs. Their OOC SOS is freaking 132nd!

Me too CB3...had to help my son, DIL and her family go to the airport for a trip to California. Got home top of the 7th...very good win. Want them to get this national seed. I know the color guy said today that their is no way they shouldn't get on and it should be a nodoubter..I agree
