Not sure if we have any audio for this one, but white is back as designated hitter today.

Thanks. UK website isn't working for me and I was trying 98.1 instead of 98.5

Heady scores on a wild pitch to give Kentucky a 2-0 lead. Mahan still at third.

Bottom of the 7th looming with UK up 3-0. Lewis pitching great and is still in the game I believe.

Yep. Lewis still pitching. Threw the 7th and got out of it pretty quickly.

Delaware threatening a bit now. One out in the 8th and Salow is pitching. Mahan couldn't handle a grounder at second and then Salow threw away a comebacker that should have been a double play.

The Blue Hens get another base hit and the bases are loaded. They called the Mahan misplay a hit I believe.

Base hit to right field for the Blue Hens. Double that beings this game to 3-2.

Why did they take Lewis out, only had threw 78 pitches thru 7 innings. That is a Low count for a starter, Salow doen not have it today !

Double to left and Delaware leads 4-3. A complete shame that Lewis doesn't get this win.

If the Cats wind up blowing this game it is on the coaches IMO. Lewis was on cruise control, and then Kaboom. Funny on Friday they left Hjelle in when he was getting lit up like a girl's slow pitch softball pitcher, and today they yank a very effective Justin Lewis. Part of being a young staff I guess.

Top of the lineup couldn't scratch and UK goes down 4-3 to Delaware. Extremely bad loss to a team that was just 1-5 coming into this game.

We have lost 5 games by a total of 6 runs, Cats are now 0-4 in 1 run games. Maybe a lesson learned today about finishing a game, at least we probably know we have 2 weekend starters, ( Logue and Lewis ). The other one could be Thompson the Freshman, who pitched well at Liberty.

The other losses aren't so bad bit this one is inexcusable. Our bullpen has got to improve.

As bad as it pains me to say it, I almost thought Gary Henderson was back in the UK dugout today.

I think the Pompey experiment needs to end. He went 0 for 5 today and is hitting .222. Cottam needs to be in the lineup. Squires provides solid defense but we have to do better than .222. Have to find some consistency out of the pitchers. Salow was amazing a week ago and today he was all right and should have gotten out of the inning but he committed and error and then fell apart.

Also, with college pitching there is zero reason not to have someone ready to come in the game in a moments notice from the 5th inning on. Always have someone warm because things turn quickly. Salow should have been done after he gave up the first run or at the latest after the first double.

his team has no stopper and it is going to continue to marr the season. A rookie manager also spells a losing record.

Dang guys, it is early. It is a long season![

Yes and no. UK plays in the freakin SEC, you can't lose games to Delaware. The key to getting in the NCAA tourney is to do well in non-conference, pick up some decent wins, avoid horrible losses, and then go .500 or better in conference. Starting 2-5 is a disaster b/c UK still has Florida, South Carolina, Vandy (all top 10), plus the top four teams from the west, plus two games with UL.

This is setting up to be an unmitigated disaster.

While a major mistake to take out J Lewis after 7 strong innings, and only 78 pitches thrown. Salow could have wrapped it up pretty much by just executing the 1-6-3 Double play. Still it stings like Hades to lose that game.

Horrible decision making so far this year. Not optimistic from what I've seen out of Ming so far. He's about to step up to big league competition so it could get worse before it gets better.
