So per KenPom, Troy is ranked #98. Barely in the top 100.

#88 LSU was the most recent team we faced ranked in that area…we won 95-64. So here are the other teams we faced that were poorly rated and mid-majors like Troy.

#223 Wright State: 103-62
#225 Bucknell: 100-72
#83 Lipscomb: 97-68
#249 Jackson State: 108-59
#159 WKU: 87-68
#266 GA State: 105-76
#260 Colgate: 78-67
#208 Brown: 88-54

We played Brown on 12/31/24…

Outside of LSU, every team we played was top 70. SC is #69, we won 80-57

Troy?
Lost by 16 to Arkansas
Lost by 20 to Houston
Lost by 21 to Oregon

So they played crap teams other than 3, and weren’t close to any of them.

Think about it, we only played 10 games against teams not in the top 50. And we pretty much dominated every single team that wasn’t top 50. Other than sleepwalking that Colgate game, we just put up points.

For the first time in months, we’re facing a team that doesn’t have athletes. I don’t want to jinx it, we need to take every team seriously, but this kind of shows WHY we are an 11 loss 3 seed. We played a brutal schedule.

I’m excited for March! Go Big Blue!
