By all accounts, Cedrick Bailey’s sophomore season was a success. The pocket passer with wheels guided his Chaminade-Madonna squad to a Florida 3A state championship posting a 12-1 record. The playmaking skills have brought offers from Georgia Tech and Pitt with more interest coming his way.

When collegiate offensive coordinators talk about wanting a quarterback that can see the field, Bailey has that covered. The 2024 QB is a towering 6-foot, 6-inches. During the Lions run for a ring, Bailey threw for 2,061 yards with 19 touchdowns against just six picks in 219 pass attempts.

With 2024 running back Davion Gause toting the rock for 1,844 yards with 17 touchdowns, Bailey didn’t have to rely on his dual-threat abilities much. But when he did, he made it count covering 155 yards on 11 carries with two scores.

The game film mixed with Bailey’s physical presence makes a big first impression with college scouts.

“They are like, “oh, you are a giant,” Bailey said. “You are big.” Yeah, I fill the whole room. They say they love me and like my game.”

Kentucky has come by the Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna campus to meet with Bailey. Clemson is another ACC team in the early stages of recruiting Bailey. That interest may lead to a visit soon.

“I might go to Georgia Tech and Pitt to visit them, and Clemson told me to come by and visit them,” Bailey said.

6’6” 180…that’s pretty thin. I’ll trust Coen knows what he’s looking for in a QB.
