77 days from now, Kentucky will open its season against UL-Lafayette at 7 pm at the new Commonwealth Stadium on ESPNU.

Can't wait to see the stadium under new lights. Should be an electric atmosphere all things considered!

The 1st game in the new stadium will be nuts. After we beat South Carolina in week 2 the Florida game at night week 3 will be INSANE!

Will be a good time, home game against Auburn on a Thursday night at 7 p.m. on ESPN, likely going to be a black-out. Talk about another electric environment,

3 of our 8 homegames already in ink for night games

Awesome! Love he night game atmosphere. Are we getting a little more respect from ESPN on the audience we will draw and competitiveness we will bring?

I know how excited and ready I am.....pretty sure the players are looking at this schedule and are PUMPED!

Hooray for not having to bake in that afternoon September sun. I can stay under a canopy and have a fan tailgating.

Just read in the CJ the Auburn game will be the "first Thursday game in program history." Pretty sure I remember Antonio O'Ferrel, or was it Pookie?, playing South Carolina on a Thursday in the 90s. And likely others. Or maybe I just have a bad recollecter....

Didn't we play USCjr in 2007 on Thursday night? never mind looked it up, it was a Thursday night game.

I'm pretty sure those game times are subject to change depending on how the TV schedules work out. That's the way it's always been in the past.

Would any of you care to offer your opinion as to what time the Missouri game will be? I have some stuff going on earlier that day and am hoping for 4:00 or later. I glanced at the other SEC games that day and it looks as though there are plenty of other games that will be better candidates to fill the 12:00 slots.

If UK is 3-0 I could see us getting another night game. Otherwise we might have to endure a noon kickoff.

They won't black out a national TV game. Everyone will see it.

It was O'Ferral. IIRC, he scored the winning TD on a long-run down the right side. Also played at Auburn on a Thursday night in 1994. Got clobbered.

Good I love late games. Im not a fan of the 12 noon kickoffs at all. In the tailgating days I was never a fan of bourbon with my biscuits!

It'll depend on how we start and what other games are that week. I feel pretty comfortable in saying it'll be a 7:00 o'clock SEC network game (unless we somehow find a way to go 3-0, which would put us on the brink of being in the top-25, which might bump it up to an ESPN game).

Night games at home, nooners on the road (for a sleepy crowd/team) definitely for the win. I'd be interested if anyone has ever researched historically if UK football in Lexington has ever in 100+ years hosted a game on a day other than a Saturday.

Mizzou game, just depends how we have played & won and the same for them to see if we avoid noon.

thumbs down to blackout for Auburn, thumbs up to blueout. team can wear all blue, or the blue + gray, and definitely those chrome helmets. man those things are SWEET.

Multiple years we hosted UofL on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

I could be wrong but my recollection is UofL hosted on Sundays of Labor Day weekend while we hosted on Saturday. Can't recall ever going to Lexington for a Sunday game.

2005 for certain. The year of the fumble on the goal line. I thought 2003 was as well, but it may have been a Saturday game.

I also believe we were ranked #8 in the country when we played SC on the road for a Thursday night game. We lost that one, and I believe that was 2007, going by memory.
