Didn't see a thread. It is 2-1 so far in the bottom of the 2nd. No one can see high flies today. three have landed. One out and a runner at third on an in field pop up that no one could see.

Single scores another. Force out at second puts them at 1st and 3rd again with 2 outs. 3-1. We are going to have to hit. Ground out to Ritter ends the bottom of the 2nd. It looks like they are going to be able to get more runs on Lee. We have to get something going at the plate or it will be like Thursday.

Top of the third is uneventful: Hill strikes out, Schultz struck out, Collett walked, and then Rhodes popped up to 2nd to end it. That is not exactly getting it going.

Bottom of the 3rd, we finally hold State scoreless. 3 up and 3 down with 2 ground outs and a pop fly to left. Lee is doing well enough if we would ever hit.

Kessler grounds out softly to short, Anu can't hit a change up and strikes out. Church strikes out swinging over a "slider?"

Lee gets a ground out and then gives up a two strike single back up the middle and is then pulled for Dillon Marsh.

No errors so far but we had two fly balls lost in the sun. Pitching so far hasn't been bad: no walks and 1 HBP but they have hit us and we haven't hit them.

Been that story all weekend.
On a different note, is anyone else having issues with the stream? Every time a commercial break is over, I have to exit out and reload the game.

Two straight strikeouts from Estep and Ritter. Walks Cam Hill. We need State to pitch nothing but fastballs since we can't hit any of the breaking pitches and can't tell when they are out of the strike zone.

Schultz doubles to right center to score Hill easily. 4-2 with two outs.

Shelby in for Rhodes strikes out to end the inning. Stuck out on a fastball low and outside, was a strike he just couldn't catch up to it.

Schultz drops the first fly out to center in the bottom of the 5th. This one hit his glove so counts as an error but it is our third dropped pop up.

Ground out to Estep ends the inning after a lineout to Collett for the 2nd out.

Kessler gets a nice single and Anu doubles him up with a weak shot to 3rd. Church flies out. Marsh is dealing well, gets two strike outs. Marsh hits the Leggett and then induces another ground out to Estep. Someone else is going to have to take over complaining over our lack of offense. I have an event at Church tonight and have to leave now.

I guess I’ll take over.

Shelby grounds into a fielders choice. Not sure why Schultz didn’t try to score. Another new pitcher for State.

So, Shelby gets picked off but Schultz scores. Kessler strikes out. 4-3 State leads bottom of the 8th. Odd inning.

Tough series for the cats. Not good enough to have the mistakes they had all series.

U6 midweek. Can't afford to go less than 2-2 next week preferably 3-1 if we're going to be a player! Tigers 1-8 in sec and U6 is beatable.

Yes. U6 and LSU are beatable. But the LSU series worries me a little bit. They’re record in SEC play is 1-8. But, they’ve played MSU, Tennessee and Vandy. #2, #8 and #1 teams in the country at the time. How good is LSU? No one really knows. And the Louisville game is always interesting. I hate that we only play them in midweek games. I’d love to have a weekend series.

I 2nd the idea of at least a 2 game home and home one weekend a year

LSU has been doodoo this season. They want Mainieri or however you spell it fired. We have to take advantage. They have more than enough talent but have just not clicked.

Throw whatever we have at Louisville. GOT to beat them. But I don't want an emotional hangover costing us a very winnable SEC series this weekend.
