Why not make it a huge weekend for the State of KY and play the basketball game on Friday Night and then the football game on Saturday same city same weekend alternating between Lexington and Louisville. I personally think it would be great and create a lot of hype and buzz for both programs and intensify the rivalry.

I would love it. Or have the football game in one city, basketball the other. Either way it would be great.

Noooooooope

UK football has done more than damn enough propping them up since 1994

UK football interest & excitement is at modern time high. We don't need to drag them along in any way, in any sport, at any time. They are an ACC program, they ought to not need us for anything.

"Good for the whole state", heard that crap enough March 2013, don't ever need to hear it ever again trying to guilt trip UK fans to cheer that outlaw band of thieves.

It’s their super bowl…not ours

why play the basketball game way early? Heck out players barely know each iothrr by thanksgiving

why gift up a great Saturday home game .,,/and move to Friday …we’ve screwed our season tix holder enough

I’ve not heard one good argument for UK to consider this

"NO"!!!!!!!! I hate them so bad I don't like playing them at any time... Gives them to much pub and I don't want UK to be a part of that crap... Just stick with the way it is now or not at all, which is what I vote for...

Louisville should stay on the schedule - whether they are good or not they are our natural rivalry and the schedule works well as it is, which is playing them during rivalry week. It gets more hype for all parties and the league schedule is over usually. I never understood why we ever played them so early. UK is on a run right now but if history holds, Louisville will be back and it will suck ever losing to them again

I have a better idea, a 2 game baseball series as part of the early kickoff to baseball season, like Clemson South Carolina do, probably others as well. Maybe the week before the SEC starts, so each team can throw weekend starters. If the weather is good (iffy in mid March, I know) would draw really really well.

I see no reason to give national football commentators yet another excuse to talk about basketball during our premiere ass-whooping of U of L in football season.

This idea ranks up there with “wouldn’t it be cool to play Duke/North Carolina/Indiana in a Bowl game.”

Hearing 3 hours of basketball bullish!t pretty much ruined basketball for me: keep it out of football!!

Whatever the dates we'll wipe of the field and the court with their loudmouth, miserable, pathetic, third rate Junior college, lying, cheating, crybaby ass.

Agreed.

Don't want to hear about football during the basketball games either.
