I bleed blue and I'm competitive as the next person, but some of your expectations for this football team are just stupid. We are rebuilding and this is year 3 under Stoops and we will probably make a bowl game which considering what this program looked like before Stoops......this is awesome. Some of you think we should be competing for an SEC Championship this year and you are simply ridiculous!!!
Our talent continues to improve and we are getting better but we are growing and along with that comes the lumps.
If you thought for a second that we were going to go 9-3 or 10-2 like I seen some of you predict at the beginning of the season, you guys need a head check.
Yes were are improving and yes we are getting better......but guess what?? So is everyone else.
Some of you act as if though, all the other teams are just staying dormant and not doing anything either.
Tennessee could easily be undefeated this year. They have the talent to compete with anyone in the country.
We are not there yet. We may never get to that level. Even when Florida and Tennessee have bad years their talent pool is simply light years above ours right now.
Yes there are games that I felt we should have won or could have won, but those games would have been icing on the cake compared to what everyone thought coming into the season.
Realistically if we finish 6-6 or 7-5 I think this becomes a successful season.
As of right now we could finish 7-5 and if we come to play (a handicapped) Georgia team Saturday. We could win out and be 8-4
This would have surpassed most realistic fans expectations.
For you haters that think you are so much smarter than the coaches, just remember you are only doing so from the stands or your television. Our coaches have a pedigree and have been doing this their whole lives.
