Kentucky Basketball: Best- and Worst-Case Scenarios for Rest of Wildcats' Season

I agree the worst should be a 2nd round loss, but these guys are playing good enough to go all the way to #9. The article talked too much about Skal.

I am optimistic. I think we lose maybe one game between now and the NCAAs, win the conference tourney and elite 8 minimum

The next 3 away games aren't gimmies...I wouldn't be surprised if they lose one of those. I think they'll spank UT, AL, & LSU at home by 15. Win the SEC tourney, get to the Sweet16 & then after that it'll depend on the match ups as to how far they go.

Sure wish we could get rid of the Oh St, Auburn & UT losses...but maybe those were needed for them to understand about playing to WIN for the whole game.

I think we should go pretty deep in the tourney. We get Poy back and our depth inside should improve, which is my main concern right now with this team.

With Poy we have a solid rotation, IMHO:

G Ulis/Briscoe
G Murray/Hawkins
G Briscoe/Matthews
F Willis/Poythress
F Poythress/Lee/Labissiere

Throw in Humphries, who is getting some important experience right now with Poy sidelined, and our 5 spot is our deepest spot. So we have quality at the 1-4 spots and quantity at the 5 spot. At least we will have plenty of fouls at the 5 spot.

Once Poy comes back, I think we will be alright as long as we can avoid more injuries.
