6-foot-9 RHP Ben Jordan will have Tommy John surgery. Was considered one of the top high school arms in the 2017 MLB Draft. My guess is he enrolls at UK now but we'll see. Story with some more details.

I think our freshman standout pitcher from Trinity, Brett Marshall, had the same procedure. Not sure on when he got hurt or had the surgery.
Yeah, my guess is he will now enroll at UK, where he will be under the direction of one of the best young pitching coaches in the country in Jim Belanger.
Those Tommy John surgeries are getting about as common as breast augmentation; Louisville had four in one class two years ago and three of those were pitchers (Riley Thompson who pitched against you guys last week being one, Brian Hoeing with the same measurables as Jordan). The success rate on that procedure is alot higher than it was twenty years ago.
