First pitch is scheduled for right around 2:00pm eastern. UK fans will get their first glimpse of left-handed freshman pitcher Dillon Marsh.

Well, hopefully they take pretty good care of the field, but I imagine with it raining so much over the weekend that they might just call it a wash and let UK go home early.

Well it looks like we are going to be a go here in about 15 minutes. At least, no indication from UK baseball Twitter to indicate we will be delayed or canceled. Everything will look like Friday except that we will see Schultz starting at 2nd and batting 9th in place of Lewis.

Heard the originally had Ben Jordan penciled as the starter but changed, anyone know why?

Marsh was named the starter as early as Friday, and it was rumored in the fall that Marsh could very well be a weekend starter. I haven't heard any indications that Jordan might get the nod. Not to say that you're wrong, but just that I hadn't heard that.

Okay thanks, I know him personally as he’s from my home town so got some misinformation from the people lol.

I am not saying that it is impossible that he was going to be the starter at one point, but they announced the starters for the weekend on Friday, so they have at least known since then. Still, I think Jordan was one of many in the running for the Sunday start. Heck, even the Saturday start was probably up for grabs. So, it is still possible that he could get the nod at sometime soon.

We are playing some baseball. Pretty quiet first inning. Collett starts the second with a leadoff double, but Reed pops up in the infield for the second out.

Could someone tell the UK radio team to close the door, it is really annoying to hear the play by play guy for Austin Peay in the background. He does sound more exciting than Gabriel though. lol

Shinny strikes out on a looking strike three before Kessler flies out to end the inning.

Phillips leads off the bottom of the second for Austin Peay with a double to the warning track.

Marsh works a full count to the number 5 hitter, Campbell, and he gets a called strike three for out number one. Very big strikeout there.

Spain now up for the Governors. Marsh leaves a fastball up and Spain hits an RBI single into left to score Phillips and put APSU up for the first time this weekend.

1-0 with 1 out.

Newberg now up for the Govs. He is really working Marsh. Full count and Newberg has fouled off a lot of pitches. Marsh also paying a lot of attention to the runner on first. He hits one deep to center. Hill runs it down for the second out. Still, a really great at bat for Newberg given that he made Marsh work a whole lot.

Wild pitch advances Spain to second with two outs. ARod picks up a running grounder and throws out the hitter at first in order to end the bottom of the second.

Austin Peay leads 1-0.

Arod walks, as he does, before Schultz grounded into a fielder's choice. Daniels goes down swinging for our number 2. Cam also strikes out to end the UK third.

Marsh starts the bottom 3 with a fly out to left. Marsh being very democratic as he gives up another fly ball, but this one to left, which Shelby snags for out number 2. Marsh then picks up his third strikeout of the game to take UK to the 4th trailing 1-0.

I was just thinking this!

Shelby works quickly and hits a line drive on the first pitch for a leadoff single. Collett then grounds into a double play, but a bad throw saves Collett. Dalton Reed also strikes out for out number two. Shinn hits one back to the pitcher and UK strands another as we go to the bottom of the 4th with UK down 1-0.

Alex Rodriguez gets a little fly ball out to start the bottom of the fourth. Phillips, a dangerous hitter, up again. He goes down on looking on a backdoor breaking ball. Big out there for Marsh, his fourth strikeout. Cam Hill makes a running grab in right center field. One that excites Gabriel.

Didn't get to hear what happened in the UK 5th, but now we are going to the bottom of the 5th with Grant Mac now coming in to pitch.

UK in danger. Mac hit a batter and got unlucky with a single before a wild pitch moved the runners to second and third. He got a strikeout and now Carson comes in to face Phillips.

Top of the order. Need to get it going here. Daniels walks and UK again has the lead off man on.

Shelby hits it to the warning track but it's a loud out. Collett rips one into the corner to put them on the corners.

4 pitch walk of Shinny. Kessler goes down on strikes, but UK gets the lead. 3-1 going to the bottom of the 6th.

Coleman still in. He gets his second strikeout in as many chances to start the bottom half of the 6th. A dribbler in front of the plate is gobbled up by Kessler and he throws him out. ARod gets the third out on a grounder to short to end the 6th. 3-1 UK

Schultz now up, he failed to get the bunt down, but he works a full count and a ball in the dirt advances ARod. Schultz walks. Ends up being a good at bat even though he doesn't get the bunt down.

Daniels bunts and a high throw goes an error and Daniels is safe! Bases juiced no outs.
