Listen, I know message boards are going to become places where exchanges are more heated the more things get difficult. But I am not going to be okay with the House of Blue devolving into an all-out slug fest with posters showing no regard for their fellow members.

Even the best of you (and the worst of us) get caught up in the moment and it becomes personal. I get it. When you care about something deeply and you feel like it's off the tracks things are going to be tense.

However, this board is a place where civil, thoughtful and respectful opinions can be expressed without making it personal. I am not very big on censorship at all, but stop the name calling. Singling nobody out, because it's come from too many places, but if you take issue with what somebody says then keep it to the substance. It's a sign of pettiness, a lack of perspective and it reflects poorly when we're incapable of sticking to the substance. Disagree vehemently all you want, but separate the topic from the person you are responding to.

If you think Stoops is awesome and somebody says he's not then voice it but don't call the person a name or try to belittle them. Conversely, if you think Stoops is terrible and someone disagrees, give all your reasons and do it passionately but don't try to be inflammatory. This place needs to be civil. Lately it hasn't been all that civil and that's understandable, but it's time for everyone to act like grown ups and post like you'd speak to someone if they're next to you in the same room.
