I did not hear Kash's radio appearance(s) recently so I'm not sure how much of this he has addressed on other public platforms, but he told me today that he has already called the coaches at the school he is committing to inform them of his choice. Given the fact that recently I spoke with a source close to UK who continued to list Daniel as someone the coaches thought could be a factor in the ultimate Signing Day count, I'd say that's a good sign.
He did really enjoy his trip to South Carolina but he made mention of the fact that he thought he wouldn't have made the U.S. Army All-American Bowl without going down there. So there could have been an ulterior motive to his decision to visit. Of course it's my job to read between the lines when nothing's there, and it's probably that he visited because he likes South Carolina a lot, too, and the game just was a bonus.
This is a really football smart kid and you have to love Kentucky's chances to land him.
