At 55, my hands started curling up like spiders on a hot stove. 56 is more about my thumbs falling off. But, hey, my knees and shoulders are having a great year. Keep on the sunny side.

Happy Birthday U9K & wishing you many more!
I'm almost 20 years your senior, although I don't jump up & down with my tongue hanging out & going all crazy, I still get loud & excited when the Cats are playing.

Enjoy being 55, that's a great time in your life.

I'm 58. While there are things I can't do when I was 25, I believe I'm enjoying life more than I ever have. If offered a chance to go back to being in my 20's or 30's and dealing with work, etc... or being where I am right now, I'd choose my current state.
ENJOY!

Happy birthday! I'm quite a bit older than you, just 3 years from my planned retirement but I doubt I make it past the next round of layoffs where I work. I may get the opportunity to have all the time in the world to watch UK sports soon. Too bad I can't turn my prediction contests into a money maker. Maybe I wouldn't miss the steady income as much.

What do you do if I'm not prying too much?

Trained as an engineer, but did embedded programming (think appliance programming) all of my career, mostly c++, python, c, perl, linux development, etc... I'm about to start looking locally, don't want to move at my age.

What town?

I hit the double nickle about a month ago. Half way to 110. As I told my wife, dying young is no longer an option, I may as well live to be really old. Hope you enjoyed your birthday.

I know the correct way to speak. Quite well, actually.

However, it isn't always so fun to do so on a sports forum.

Thank you kindly, though.

Yes but I have always tried to elevate the people around me to something above where they are. Sometimes it's easy sometimes more challenging...

I`m 59 and don`t feel a day younger. Looking forward to retiring in about 3 years or so. I`m giving up my second job after this year. Been mowing 10 to 15 yards in my spare time but it`s gotten to where it`s no fun anymore. Happy birthday young pup.
