Just mindboggling the lengths he is willing to go to carry water for coaches.
Some coaches and their win at all costs mentality are just as much to blame. Can't have one without the other. Why do you try so hard to throw Bilas under the bus for every little thing? That's not close to what he was saying. Agents are at the root of this trying to get good clients, so are the schools, so is Adidas.
True.If they have coaches wiretapped and videoed and he STILL tries to shift blame, I don’t think ANYONE will take him seriously at that point.
every NCAA sanctioned event players watch a video warning about taking money!! They'll see the warning 6/7 times a year while in high school if they play in big AAU events sanctioned by the NCAA. Some are victims other know better...
This falls back on parents, coaches (HS, AAU & NACC) and Agents.
Because it was DukeYet, Maggette was cleared on the basis that he didn't know and should not have known that taking money from Myron Piggie was a violation. Never did understand that one.
Bilas is a problem because he puts out false information. Now I know whey he is not practicing law. He would have been disbarred years ago.
He's a pro pay for play analyst. He believes the players were exploited. Be that as it may, they still broke the rules. Some of the players that could be punished for this might not play professional ball now or have a less exposure to do so.
Bilas is over the wall, but to some point he's right. Sucks for the kids but there are rules you have to adhere to. Or be smarter about at least.....
While there are points to both arguments, I'm just glad this is happening to UL. It makes the pain/anger of losing to Florida a lot easier lol.

Oh yea man parents and players are just victims again!!
To be fair he has a point. If Shoe companies and agents are the ones corrupting college basketball with the money and influence that is a problem. Thats not to say Coaches don't share blame for accepting the bribes and payouts.
