Jump Balls

I have noticed that Refs seem so whistle happy on calling jump balls. Pretty much when a player falls on the ground with the ball they are never calling a walk and just waiting for an opposing player to jump on the ground and thus call a jump ball. It has gotten worse over the past few years. A) Refs need to call more walking violations when a player falls down and B) Fouls when an opposing player "JUMPS" on top of a player to tie them up. Tonight was a perfect example where the ref was just waiting for another player to tie up Meeks and didn't pay any attention to the fact that Meeks was out of bounds.
