Julius Randle

He'll be one of the premier power forwards in the years to come. He is a monster

I hope so. He is already 11th in the NBA in rebounding, and he's only 21.

Side note: former UK guys represent the 4th, 9th, 10th, and 11th leading rebounders in the NBA; as well as the 1st and 3rd leading assist leaders.

I was surprised he wasn't considered for the rising stars challenge during the All-Star weekend. I guess they have to have US and world players, so that makes it harder. He performs consistently well, but doesn't seem to get a lot of recognition for it nationally. Though, to be fair, I don't really follow the NBA, so maybe I'm missing it.

Before the season I believe he said his personal goal was to average a double-double, (despite the fact that only 14 or so guys are doing so) Well done, young man!
Jon Barry the former NBA player and now commentator was exceptionally complimentary of Randle's play calling him "one of the best young payers in the league" ," a real match up challenge" remarkably quick and yet really strong"" etc. he looked great in the game. Once they get rid of Kobe and replace their worthless center, they can make some noise in a few years. Simmons would look great at small forward for them because he is also a major league match up problem and he can pass and rebound.

I'm hoping we end up with Ingram. By we, I mean the Lakers.

I've been the biggest Kobe fan for a long time. Randle probably scores more on a non-kobe team.

At the beginning of the game, Barry said that he didn't see Randle, nor Russell, ever becoming a #1 or #2 option.

So, progress was perhaps made during the game last night.

Heard jalen rose on the radio talking about how he had thought having short arms would restrict randle and how you watch him using flip shots and other shots a guard typically makes to get it over bigger defenders. Jalen said that he thought this is why randle is not strained much by his lack of reach in comparison to the rest of the bigs in the league. Randle also is just mean as hell and will fight for position and fight for the ball. He was very complimentary as well that day
