We are dead last(#133) in plays per game at 56.4 with second to last being...wait for it, Iowa, and they run 2 more Plays a game at 58.4.
At what point does Stoops realize the BS lip service to mixing in "tempo" is going to totally submarine his tenure here if he doesn't bring his style at least moderately up to date. Looking at the stats, FIFTY other schools run on average, 15 more plays a game than us. That is a staggering stat!
His grind it out style makes even the vast majority of the wins painful to watch/endure. It feeds his mantra that a play here or there made the difference. Of course! We have so much less margin for error with 15-20 less plays a game!
He's going to continue to lose big games and continue to lose the fan base with his Tubby Smith style. Just is what it is...and the media HAS TO put this to him in no uncertain terms as you are the only ones with access to raise the issue here.
