JR or anyone- What does Bobby Petrino do that makes him so effective? Why is he consistently good while carrying what appears to be a large amount of success inhibiting baggage (Arkansas type messes, lots of enemies like Rich Brooks who said that he was the only coach he couldn't stand).
His recruiting since he has arrived at Louisville appears much better than I thought. JR- is that right and if so has it surprised you? I would think there would be a group of recruits whose mothers would be not even let him in the door. Has he just recognized that, focused on other types of kids and then simply a good recruiter?
Also, whenever I watch his teams they rarely make game call or procedural errors. He seems very organized and always keeps the pressure on via the correct call.
There are many of you on this board that played football or know a lot more than me-- I just don't get what makes him so good and would be interested in any insight.
