With his reclassification into this year's class imminent, does that make Missouri a legit threat in the SEC and on the national scene this year? Obviously Michael Porter is the number 1 player and sure to be a beast, but what about Jontay? I know he's supposed to be a pretty good player but I don't know much about his game. Is he any good? Is he close to Michaels level? All I know is the SEC is going to be an exciting brand of basketball this season.

Not with Cuonzo coaching. They may compete for top 4-5 in the SEC..but won't have enough to challenge for first. My guess would be that they are more likely to resemble LSU with Simmons than they are to resemble UCLA with Lonzo.

I'd put my money on Alabama as the team to win the SEC, IF I couldn't bet on UK.

Ole Conzo couldn't win at Cal with Brown n company. Not sure Mizzou will be any different. Old stall ball used to be his forte. Keep score in 40-50 range.

Not only could they not win, they lost to Hawaii in the first round.

Cuonzo is a bad fit for the Porter's preferred style of play. I still think Mizzou can make some noise in spite of Martin. The Porters (primarily Michael) are just that good, plus Tilmon and the 4* guard. I could see them being right there with us in the SEC.

I hope they are a legit contender. The SEC has been quietly making moves to become the best basketball conference. Much like the ACC in football. It started with schools in the SEC going out and making big hires for coaches. These coaches have gone out and gotten players. Then South Carolina went out and made the league proud in the NCAA tournament. Would love to see Mizzou become a contender and continue to strengthen the SEC
