John Petty 5* Recruit

He was one of the most impressive players I saw in the EYBL. Watched him play 2 games and he is very athletic, has a high motor and a nice looking jumper. The first game he hit 4-5 3's and the second game he hit a 3 at the buzzer to beat Tatum's team. I talked to some parents from his team and they said he was hoping for an offer. He also goes to school with Coach Payne's kids.

Good to know.

One things for sure, Cal is casting a large net in regards to the SF position!

I like the SF position to be taller but that's just me. I love a 6'7" - 6'8" size there.
He was listed at 6'6 and 190 in the EYBL program and he will probably get bigger by the time he finishes high school. He had a teammate named Garrison Brooks, a 6'10 post player who was also impressive but he's from Auburn and Bruce is probably recruiting him pretty hard.

Kid looks to have all the tools, hops, 3ball and midrange, handles...going to be intertesting to see if Avery and Pearl can keep studs home...

My son and I watched him play against Tatum at the EYBL a couple of weeks ago. We weren't familiar with Petty prior to that game, but he quickly caught our attention...most impressive player we saw all day.
