Back in the portal again. He's a wide receiver now. You think we'll give him a look?
No, no and hell no. No offense to Joey but he's too slow to be a dual threat QB and he's WAY to slow to be a WR. Maybe he can put on 25 pounds of muscle and be a TE but he'll probably be too slow for that too.Back in the portal again. He's a wide receiver now. You think we'll give him a look?
I’ll never forget how much buildup and hype went into the coverage on if he’d be immediately eligible or not, only for him to not be a D1 level quarterback
I was probably only one posting here who had ever seen him play. He was not the starter on his HS team, he was ranked because of the camps. He wasn't as slow as some think, but he doesn't have WR speed. I tried to lower expectations, but was told I was mistaken. Any chance he ever had was gone after spending a year with Gus.
All true and many knew he was a project, but also consider the QB play we had at the time. We were excited about anything.
He’s not sec Wr fast by any stretch. He should have tried the TE routeHe is not slow, especially for his size, but he is not quick. He seemed very stiff when he ran and had little cutting ability.
Pickle Ball perhaps?Gatewood is an athlete who cannot play football, it appears.
Possible NIL money?I hear there's a big future in that game.
