I am sure the coaching staff is on him and will go after him if they think he is SEC grade.

The question is what is this kids measurables and what is his 40 time?

It also sounds like the completion wasn't much. It is hard to put up 450 plus yards rushing against a decent sandlot team.

Heck if I was the coaching staff I would be looking at the players blocking for him. He must to have had some huge holes to gain all that yardage.

High school stats like that typically have more to do with the competition than the player.

They had him listed at 5'10", 196, 4.47 40 yard dash.

Sure looks the part. But like others have said....Look at the quality of competition he is faced with. It's poor

450 is impressive anyway you write it. Looks like Rivals has him as a 5.2 two star. Just kinda hurts with the competition level, if he really is 5'10 196 with 4.47 forty, that could warrant some attention.

That is not 4.4 speed. That's not even 4.6 speed. Probably closer to 4.7 something. Plus it's easy to rack up 450 when you're playing against 160 lb white kids.

This kid reminds me of J.J. Jude, a running back from Johnson Central back in 2012. Jude was a great HS player, unstoppable really at that level, but in no way was a major D1 player. I think he currently plays at EKU, which is probably about Williams' level as well.

Actually, as far as mountain running backs go, Brandon Jones at Hazard was better than Williams and I think he only ended up at UPike.

I never said he was the 2nd coming, I just said he was a talented kid. I couldn't rush for 450 yards against a pee wee team.

He will get plenty more opportunities to show his stuff during the season, Letcher County is a 5A school, the competition will get much tougher during the course of the season.

Even though 450+ yards look impressing no matter what, sadly, it still doesn't mean he's SEC level talent. Like someone said already, rbs really ain't our problem. We need guys on the offensive line. When we get those guys, we are really ready to compete.
