May not be getting the hype as some of our other recruits, but at 6'3" and 225lbs and running a 4.52 40, he could very well be another guy in this class that could become a difference maker.
I love this group of kids on both sides of the ball and can't wait to see them in action.
I'm predicting him to be a household name in the SEC as well as Bowden,Allen, Paschal and a few others.
Stoops and UK are gonna make some noise guys!
Who do you think are going to be difference makers?

We have a few guys that have a chance to be big players. Not much production yet. This to me is the most intriguing position.

Right now our passing game will need to step it up for our receivers to shine. Short passes and long passes both need to be more consistent.

Well, we all know star ratings don't mean anything but of our four four stars in the class he was the only 5.9-------and those four included Bowden. It does sound like they missed on Bowden though considering all the raves he gets.

He should be getting the hype. When he committed to us, he was in Rivals Top100.

Difference makers on our 2017 football team should include Stephen Johnson, Benny Snell, AJ Rose, CJ Conrad, Juice Johnson, Tavin Richardson, Dorian Baker, Adrian Middleton, Kordell Looney, Jordan Jones, Denzil Ware, Josh Allen, Mike Edwards, Derrick Baity, Chris Westry, Jordan Griffin, Davonte Robinson, Austin MacGinnis. Among the true freshmen, I like the immediate impact potential of Lynn Bowden, Clevan Thomas, Bryant Koback. Most of the true freshmen will redshirt this year. Javonte Richardson is an interesting player, but we have a lot of experienced receivers coming back. Unless Richardson really stands out in practice during the 1st half of August and beats out guys like Bone, Ross, then he should redshirt.

Would have been a major signature recruit in prior KY classes (pre Stoops). Kid is a baller.

Just shows how much KY Football recruiting has elevated the past 3-4 years.

I just don't get that same feeling when I look at Alabama's or Clemson's rosters. I just don't.

What feeling? Was I foolish enough to compare anyone in our class with Bama's class, when we have four four stars and they have TWENTY SIX, with about seven FIVE stars and the class averages closer to a five star than a regular 5.8 four star.

Actually looking at those two teams star ratings and their success just reinforces the value of the star ratings. Sure, lots of misses, both high and low, but for a whole class a pretty good barometer of future success.

Talent.

We have a few thousand pounds of talent coming in, excited to see them play, Bama has a few tons of talent coming in.

Making definite progress, but our AD helped put us a decade behind the teams that recognized that football is the money cow--------and did the wise thing, invested their money in it.

This young man is actually rated higher than Bowden!:eyes:

Star ratings aren't the end all, the experts miss sometimes, but out of the 35 or so 5*, I think its safe to say that 30 of them will end up having good college careers and out of the 250 or so 4* 200 or so will have good productive college careers Out of the 500 or so 3* probably 300 have good productive college careers, while out of the countless 2* and no star kids probably only 100 or so have productive college careers. Its all about the percentages, the more 4 and 5* kids you can sign the better chance you have of those players developing into productive college player. They may not be any better than the 2 or 3*, but the chances of them being good are greater. The best defensive player UGA has had in the last 30 years was a 2* with 1 DII offer, Thomas Davis.

Thomas Davis was better than Champ Bailey?

With Greenwood transferring, wouldn't surprise me to see Richardson get quite a few snaps. Would've liked to see him redshirt this year

With Greenwood leaving, I think he will play, though in Tavin Richardson and Ross we have a pretty capable, more experienced player in a similar mold, and an older, larger version with a scary ceiling. He will probably play, but not be relied upon a lot unless way ahead of the curve, or we see injuries.
