Jason Parker would have been a beast had he played for Cal

Jason Parker wasn't even as good as Marquis Estill.

So no. Just no. Parker has been mythologized far beyond his actual ability. Sad that he blew out his knee, and sad that he couldn't stay out of trouble, but he was never going to be that great of a player. He was a thickly built undersized center with 0 shooting ability. Good for some ferocious dunks, a nice rebounder, but not much else.

Cal actually had a very similar player at Memphis with Joey Dorsey (though I think Dorsey was a lot quicker and a much better all-around athlete). Dorsey actually did get a cup of coffee in the NBA, but he was not a high draft pick.

ME was a man!

Yes he would have. Parker would have been the low post beast that Cal needed.

Yeah, what was I thinking. I forgot about all those 6'6 non-athletic centers Cal's been beating the bushes trying to find. We should let Cal know they don't make players like Parker anymore. Oh wait, yes they do. I heard them mention during the UK vs USC TV broadcast that Nick Haynes could dunk a basketball. He's about the same size as Parker so maybe Cal can get some of the offensive line to go play center for him. He'll need to let them know they don't have to snap the ball playing center for him.

I don't think he would have been recruited by Cal. Too one dimensional and doesn't fit the positionless model IMO. Maybe as a reserve

There's only one beast in UK's glorious history and that is Pilgrim.

Oh and Adam Sandler is a UK fan.
