Has anyone seen this clip? Simply incredible, Jackie Bradley Jr throwing a ball from near home plate OVER the center field wall in Fenway.

The Home Run Derby for the All-Star game is good, but is too long. It should just be 1 round. We all remember the great HR Derby that Josh Hamilton had in Yankee Stadium, but he didn't win that year, he hit so many in the first round (between 30 & 40) that he was wiped out after that.
I would limit the HR Derby to 1 round, and add a skills competition. You could have events like:
- timed Home to 3rd (or 1st to Home)
- throws from RF to home (hitting a multi-level bulls eye)
- bunting (to a spot) competition
- long distance throw competition
- infield throw (to a bulls eye)
- infield timed field & throw
- timed catch & throw to 2B by catchers
- hitting to zones / bulls eyes (must be line-drives)

Maybe even make it like a Ryder Cup, where NL & AL send 2 guys in each event to go against each other, and the league earns a point for winning that match.

You could even take it one step further, winner of the night is home team (batting last) the following night.
