Outside of being a laughable program, their fans are probably going nuts doing something outside the norm of the 1950s.

Bob Knight would have never allowed his teams at IUsedtobe to wear black.
These schools that keep bringing in an alum with no college coaching experience will never learn.
They are and the weirdest thing is they are called “the Fear of God” collection. Some posh designer with that stupid name.
I think he's doing a great job at IU and should be rewarded with a lifetime contract. I know for a fact several high schools are looking at him so the Hoosiers better do the right thing.
😂 of course, I mean if you take it all together, the whole picture, he like Kenny Payne needs at least an 8 year deal to get this thing going.

What’s so wild is Sampson did so MEH at IU and is now killing it for the most part at Houston.
I like black alts. Players usually do to. I don’t understand why some people get so in a tizzy about them.
Not to take up for the cow pasture program but they used to be a damn good traditional power house and in southern Indiana people are like us here. They care about that program. And kids grew up playing street ball and backyard ball dreaming of being a Hoosier.
All rivalries aside that’s the core of growing up in America. Or it used to be.
That being said, I’m glad that program is sucking butt.
IMO Sampson would have ended up killing it at IU as well. Guy can flat out coach.
We tried to tell them it was just indigestion or maybe the Hershey squirts but they wouldn’t listen.
Dumbest move they ever made was not handling his ridiculously stupid violations in house. Looking at those violations now it’s laughable. But their holier than thou approach goes above winning and it shows.
At the time they were pretty bad violations so I get it. That was before the world knew what “strong ass offers” we’re going on down in the bayou. Still can’t believe it took 7 Level 1 violations for LSU to finally fire Wade.
Probably could have revived IU if the hadn’t booted him for those illegal text messages.
I just don’t consider phone calls and extra texts or whatever that bad no matter when it was. Not compared to wads of cash, strippers, etc. which people knew happened by then.
Some in the IU administration considered the repeated violations as Sampson giving them the finger. At the time there was very little pushback to canning Sampson or the show-cause imposed by the NCAA.
But this thread is about IU’s fugly black uniforms…
