IU is 8-2 in their last 10 on a 4 game winning streak...we know that like GA ut has struggled all season , but a series win over the Cats could get them in contention for sec tourny...Fla is on a nine game winning streak and is probably the hottest team in the country. Now it looks like for the Cats to be in contention for the national seed thru the supers they probably have to go 4-0 vs iu-ut and win the series against Fla. That is a very unlikely scenario after this wekend! It's a shame after the position they had put themselves in and with the schedule set up like it was.

First bad weekend since opening weekend vs UNC. This was a series the Cats could/should have swept. A few bad coaching decisions, taking out certain pitchers at the wrong time, pinch hitting a true freshman for an experienced senior, lessons learned hopefully.

This series much worse because of the consequences surrounding and it being at home. I took a lot of enthusiasm out of the uncheat series.

I think they have to win out till Florida, and then have to win that series, and then would get a super. That would be 7-1 with the only loss to Florida. Tall order. We will see

Ut is much better than their record...they just recently won a series at Fla so we better play much better than we did this weekend. Must get the bats going.

Call me crazy, and I may even get laughed at, but I think this weekend could be a blessing in disguise. I was at the games Saturday and Sunday and the team just looked tight. It was a perfect storm. Georgia playing for their tournament life and UK being somewhere no one expected. There was no flow to any of the games. I think the pressure of trying to hold onto a national seed was in their heads all weekend. Maybe this weekend will ground them back to where they were against LSU, USC and Texas A&M. I hate the series loss, but it's not the end of the world just yet. On to Indiana.

95% of the time we win the game yesterday with JL & LS in that position and Fridays game was just a comedy of errors in the ninth..
