It's NOT going to happen but what seed would UL be?

Was listening to Kentucky Roll Call and they were talking about UConn going on that crazy run a few years ago. It got me to wondering about the team from out west. If by some miraculous event Louisville went on a run and got an automatic bid by winning the ACC tournament, what seed would they get in the NCAA? Take into consideration that they would only have 8 or 9 wins tops. Would they be a 13 or 14? I personally think that would be high even for that terrible team but winning the ACC still holds weight even though I think it's a junk conference this year.

15-16. Maybe 15 if winning the ACC-T included a couple Q1 wins, and not just wins over Wake Forest and Va Tech and BC.

That's what I was thinking. If they lucked into a bunch of bad teams due to upsets, I can see that but if they just got hot and played who most expect to advance, I could see them getting the benefit of doubt based on name and conference alone. Either way, it ain't happening. I was just wondering.

Not unusual in low major conferences where you wind up with terrible sub .500 teams making the NCAAs.
Btw I looked up that 2008 UGA team that won the SECT. They were a horrible 4-12 in conference play.
"Georgia, which had a sub-.500 record (13–16, 4–12 in the SEC) going into the tournament and had to win the title to secure an NCAA Tournament bid."

They got the 14 seed that year. That sounds about right for UL.

Only runs UL gets is if that dog ate a chocolate bar then they will have runs on their home court.

If you know it’s not going to happen why talk about it happening? Talk about the teams that’s it going to happen to when it happens to that team, I think.

Or if you’re wanting to be a little smart ass and complain about something on a sports “discussion” board where things are to be you know….discussed, you can stay out of it and STFU. Not get enough attention growing up, hoss?

It depends on the other automatic qualifiers do.
If the 7th place team from the Big Sky Metro makes it through their tournament (and 3 others like them) they would be worst.
But if everything held form. Louisville would be worst team in and play a16 seed play in game.

My names not Hoss, Lisa or Julie. Hoss left you years ago. He was on Bonanza and died young. Loved Hoss and Little Joe. I appreciate your reply Festus, but I don’t know anyone named STFU. Did he play in a western series? Sounds Chinese to me, so maybe he played in a Chinese western. What’s your favorite western? Well, been nice meeting you. I have to go now, I’m a little upset about the game and need a minute. Have a great day
