It's a Wonderful Life

Brings out the best in humanity. Watching it for the umteenth time. Makes me feel good watching it. We should all strive to be like George Bailey. This is at the top of my favorite movies ever and I never tire of watching it. If this doesn't touch your soul then you don't have one.
My wife didn't like it the first time we watched it; made me somewhat concerned about a very important life choice I made.. lol. She has since come around and our family watches it yearly.

Surprisingly the movie (1943) wasn't received all that well and did poorly at the box office. 31 years later in 1974 the copyright lapsed and it became open to the public. The rest is history. Great flick. .

I've always said the sweetest, most innocent moment in film history is George saying he'll lasso the moon and give it to Mary. You say that now and it comes off as incredibly cheesy and odd but it just works in that film.
