I know we are focusing more in OH (a very good thing), but I thought we would hold on to our GA connections since we got players from there in recent years. King sort of fell into our lap this year, but there are no other GA recruits in this class. I hope we aren't sacrificing our recruiting there.

This staff is always going to hit Ohio hard. They look at Ohio as part of Kentucky and home territory. But we do need to pick it up in Georgia and Florida. I also like that the staff is looking at the DC area. We've had some luck there recently. Boom Williams is from Georgia and I think we will put more emphasis there in the 2016 class.

Judging by previous recruiting efforts, I think the staff is focusing on home talent, ohio, the DC area. From there, they are building relationships in different areas such as mississippi, florida and south carolina. But they are still recruiting the entire south pretty hard. I don't think the georgia pipeline is closing or being sacrificed, it just didnt' work out this year.

Was just typing the same thing.....maybe get Wesley Woodyard to help us out some.

I agree that we need to be hitting that state hard, as well as South Carolina...that is where the talent is...no doubt about it...and plenty of it to go around...

the next time there is a staff shuffle, and Stoops is looking to replace some folks he needs to look for Georgia connections...maybe a former player and/or someone from Richt's staff...

would really like to get a florida guy on staff as well...someone who knows the state real well...born n raised there, played there, coached there...like Randy Shannon...

Didn't we just sign the GA 6A player of the year in King?

We cannot afford to ignore Georgia and Tennessee. It is very short sighted. I am not sure we added any recruiting help with the OC and Buh hires. It doesn't look like it.
