That's what it looks like, every team is laying in wait for their shot at Kentucky and this year we don't have the mental toughness or the team to over come these things. The UCLA game and this looks like we are just lost.
This has been a carbon copy if the UCLA game. Playing timid, missing easy shots, nit being smart
It' s called NO TALENT...just because a guy can run and jump Does NOT mean you are a basketball player that takes basketball skills
We just are not a very smart team. From the Coaches to the players. Having Briscoe shooting jump shots and 3's should be cause to have his ass immediately put on the bench. Having Poythress shooting 3's should be as well. Having Briscoe in the game when he cant hit shots or free throws is just a bad coaching decision. Tell me that Mulder or Matthews cant provide more for this team. It is time to let Poythress come off the bench. Let him play for a couple of minutes and if you don't see the effort then put his ass on the bench like Cal does with Willis. At least Willis can shoot. I get the fact that Briscoe is tuff but come on. This team is in bad need of some fundamentals, basketball IQ and more players who can actually shoot. Free throws kill this team. There has been a lot of remarks in the past on this board about Dean Smith doing so little with so much well maybe it is time we start saying the same about Cal. I love all the 5 stars and # 1 recruiting classes but how about we start mixing in some players with basketball IQ and shooters with this supposedly elite talent. Sorry just so frustrated.
