This whole thing has been a joke. Screw it all, including the gamecocks, one of the meanest, most arrogant fan bases I've ever encountered.....well no, I take that back. I hope the final game is south carolina vs. oregon, hahahaha, and that nobody watches. The ncaa and cbs would love that one, Im sure.
That's because we are a bigger name than UNC. Same thing when IU was looking for a BB coach It was no big deal on ESPN. Compare that to 2009 when UK was in search for a head coach ( Cal ). It got as much coverage on ESPN as the NCAA tournament did.... WE ARE THE NEWS... I'll always remember Larry Donald of Basketball Times back in the mid 1980's saying that in all of sports. Only the Dallas Cowboys can match the magnitude of Kentucky basketball. We are just a far bigger deal than UNC, that's just the way it is.
It's just the world we live in! Spin Doctors are masters of deception and people love a good head-line and fake news. The saturated news market is a joke these days and people just blindly idiotically regurgitate the first bunch of shit they see scroll across the ticker or pop up on their phones.
The NCAA and ESPN have an affinity for North Carolina, probably because of John Skipper, who really knows.

Media will barely mention the scandal and will still keep it to a minimum when the NCAA finally announces the 'penalties.'
THat's right i forgot about that, they did threaten Mary Willingham... F' espn and john skipper and their UNC homerism hiding this.
This is just a symptom of a much larger problem we have in this country, go on any news outlet, and all you hear is breaking news this, breaking news that, with that rediculious music! Growing up I wanted to be a journalist, but would never dream of pursuing that now. Journalistic Integerity is a thing of the past!
The world in general, and especially media is on a very slippery slope, and I'm not sure what the end game is, however it will quite interesting to see where this all ends up 10-15 years from now.
I would be absolutely shocked if some massive widescaling fraud were not released on the NCAA at some point!
I could easily see the NCAA and ESPN for that matter not even being entities in 10-15 years because of decisions that they are currently making! Once those products become un-profitable because of their decisions, the heads will roll.
It does not matter how "big time" or well connected you or your entity is, if you are not producing money, you're done! The almighty dollar is the only common denominator, and ironically as much evil as this can provide the public, it can provide back-handed justice for the people as well!
As the great Tom Petty once said "The waiting is the hardest part." Yes I know he was referencing drug deals, however I am going to apply this lesson to the NCAA and ESPN. Keep making you're decisions guys, you will pay for it in the long run!
