Only 3 of the top 18 teams have won their last 4 games.
And just 7 of the top 16, and 8 of 18, have won their last 2 games.

I hope not, but this year, March Madness is definitely going to a heck of a ride.UCONN may be inevitable.
The refs didn't last year in the tournament when he was the NPOY and they lost to the 16 seed. Purdue is going to be overrated in the tournament again. Now UCONN is legit, maybe Houston.Purdue is still team to beat IMO. My reason the refs in tourney will give Eady? The Jordan rules to play with. CBS wants the big superstar on the big stage. He will get away with a half dozen fouls and shoot 16 free throws a game. Hide and watch
Purdue is boring. Not what the TV wants for ratings.Purdue is still team to beat IMO. My reason the refs in tourney will give Eady? The Jordan rules to play with. CBS wants the big superstar on the big stage. He will get away with a half dozen fouls and shoot 16 free throws a game. Hide and watch

I put this in another thread a couple weeks ago when the week 11 AP poll came out:

2017 - 6
2016 - 3

2009 - 6
2008 - 10

It's gonna be wide open most seasons in the NIL and transfer era.
I'd still bet uconn repeats but hope I'm wrong.
I think those are definitely a part of it, but it can't be overlooked that because of the free covid year, we have an entire extra class of players eligible. Usually you've got 4 classes, plus 5th year guys who redshirted a year. Now you have 5 classes, plus 6th year guys who redshirted a year. And the NCAA seems to be more generous than in the past about granting multiple medical hardship waivers, and guys more willing to USE them and stay in college (NIL of course affect this). You've got like 25% more players to go around than you did a handful of years ago, so there's more talent to go around AND there's just a lot more experienced talent to go around.Seems like in recent years a correlation to NIL and transfer portal to me. Curious to see after 10 years how ncaa tourney goes and if we get more wild final fours like last year.
Of course year before that had unc, Duke and KU. Unc was an 8 seed though.
