Isaiah Briscoe tweeted out that he will be making his way to Kentucky this Wednesday. The incoming freshman suffered a concussion Thursday morning while practicing with Team USA and thus will not be able to compete in the U19 FIBA World Championships in Greece. Briscoe had made the team just a day before he got hurt.
Coach Cal has said he is excited about the young star from New Jersey, who is considered to be a top-15 prospect nationally.
While Briscoe won’t be able to play for Team USA the good news is he will have plenty of time to catch-up with his new buddy Tyler Ulis. Briscoe credits Ulis as one of the main reasons he wanted to come to Kentucky.
