Is Virginia and Villanova legit?

Today is my first time watching Virginia. I know they apparently have a good defense and their best player is out but are they and Villanova legit or pretenders?

Educate me.

Virginia, yes but don't think they match up well with UK.

Villanova, no not really. Guard oriented although that seemed to work for UConn against us, unfortunately. This year's team is different, though.

UVA could go far, but not all the way without Anderson. Villanova is just way overrated.

Don, do you have your own personal server in your house?

I think at this time of the year, anyone that's in the Top 10 is legit, unless perhaps they're from a low level conference and they have played nobody.

I think that both teams are solid. Villanova has solid guards and lots of shooters. They can go deep. We know from UConn's last two championship teams that guards can take you deep.

Not to be rude. However, even asking if Virginia is legit is a silly question. One loss and playing in the ACC while being down their best player for several games. I have said since November that they are the 2nd best team in the country behind the cats. Good to great guard play. Solid post players. Excellent D.

There have been plenty of teams with good records that are pretenders. Villanova frequently fell into this category. In the early 2000s, Stanford was another one who looked pretty on paper but were fool's gold.

UVA with Anderson - yes . This UVA team on tv- hell no , average as hell.

Nova IMo is the 4th best team in the country right now

if UVA ever gets healthy they deserve to be in the top 5 but not now .
